Welcome to St. Mary’s

 

This Church, as you will see, is of outstanding beauty and  was built in 1910 by

Sir Ninian Comper, and is the only complete building he was responsible for in the North of England. It is a Grade 2* Listed building, and has recently undergone major restoration work.

 

The worship in this Church is mainly in accordance with the

Book of Common Prayer.

 

Concerts are held in Church at regular intervals with a Lunchtime Concert each Wednesday at 12.30 p.m. which is preceded by a lunch served from 11.30 a.m.

An Academy Concert is held on the first Saturday of each month

at 6.00 p.m.- 7.00 p.m.
